Q.Why must I be the original owner to market my car through The Auto MatchMaker?

A.We market only well-maintained vehicles that are currently owned by the original owner. Car dealer lots are filled with vehicles that have had multiple owners or are “mystery vehicles” that were purchased through auctions. It’s virtually impossible to find out the service and maintenance history on those cars.

Q.How is the selling price set?

A.The selling prices are based on the current Fair Market Value and each vehicle’s overall condition. You can be assured that you will not be paying an inflated, artificial “asking price” on any vehicle that is being marketed through The Auto MatchMaker. You also save by not having to pay Arizona sales tax—which is not paid on a used vehicle purchased from a private party and registered in Arizona.

Q.What are the fees involved to buy or sell a car through The Auto MatchMaker?

A.Seller Fees: When the vehicle is sold (and not until it’s sold), there is a $725 Auto MatchMaker fee paid by the seller.

Buyer Fees:
The buyer pays a $145 documentation fee and the Arizona license plate fees, which are set by the State of Arizona. The Auto MatchMaker collects these fees from the buyer and submits them directly to the Arizona MVD.

Q.Will I save money buying a car from a private-party seller vs a car dealer?

A.Yes. You can be confident that the selling price set by the owner is not an inflated “Asking Price” and truly represents it’s Fair Market Value. Also, you will not pay Arizona sales tax or Dealer handling fees!

Q.Will I be able to sell my car through TheAutoMatchMaker for more than I would get from a car dealer?

A.Absolutely! If your vehicle has been well maintained and you price the vehicle at a realistic, fair market price, it will sell quickly and for a lot more money than a dealer would ever pay you for it! Car dealers will only allow a wholesale amount for your car…that makes perfect sense, because they have to make a big profit on any used car they acquire.

Q.Are there any warranties on the vehicles?

A.Yes, because any remaining factory warranty will transfer to the new owner.

Q.Does The Auto MatchMaker provide any financing options for the buyer?

A.No. Buyers secure their own financing, and sellers are paid with a certified bank draft or wire transfer.

Q.How can I make arrangements to see and test drive a vehicle that is for sale on The Auto MatchMaker site?

A.Here’s how it works: Give us a call and we will answer all of your questions. If you would like to see the vehicle, we will schedule an appointment for you at a convenient location. An Auto MatchMaker Agent conducts the showing for the seller.

Q.Why are all vehicle showings conducted in an office setting rather than at a residence?

A.Our buyers and sellers prefer to meet at a professional office site rather than a private residence. They enjoy the security and convenience of an office setting, as well as the assistance of The Auto MatchMaker Agent.

Q.Why are all calls and emails handled by The Auto MatchMaker?

A.Our sellers like the fact that we handle the volume of calls and emails that result from advertising a vehicle.  Buyers appreciate receiving information about the owner's vehicle from an unbiased professional.

Q.Can I trade in a used vehicle?

A.The Auto MatchMaker is not a used car dealer and does not take ownership of any vehicle that it helps to market. We will, however, help you determine the current wholesale and retail price of your car, and help you explore other options for disposing of it. If you are the original owner and your car meets our qualifications, you can also list it with TheAutoMatchMaker.

Q.Do I have to go to the Arizona MVD to complete the registration paperwork after the purchase?

A.No. The Auto MatchMaker completes all paperwork and handles the registration for both the buyer and seller. No more waiting in line at the Arizona MVD!
